Paul Holmes MP and Chesterfield Liberal Democrats: Listening to and Fighting for Chesterfield

Stamping out Racism in Dunston

12.00.00am UTC (GMT +0000) Mon 17th Apr 2006

Lib Dem councillors Pat Proctor and Tony Fields are making every effort with the police to stamp out racism in the Dunston area. On Saturday 15th April, Police were called to the Sall News Store to find vandals had daubed the store's van with racist slogans.

Customers have given evidence to the police regarding the culprits and the police are hoping to press charges. The Lib Dems won't tolerate any kind of racism and will assist the public and police in any way to stamp out this type of behaviour.

The vandals have also sprayed bus shelters and garages with graffiti so the sooner arrests are made, the better. The police and the councillors would appreciate any information you may have.
