DRAGON AND DRUMMERS DANCE TO NEW BEAT AT SPRINGWELL SCHOOL

12.00.00am UTC (GMT +0000) Fri 26th May 2006

Staveley school pupils made an awesome impression when their dragon joined drummers and dancers at the official opening of Springwell School's brand new theatre, box office, practice rooms and recording studio.

Local MP Paul Holmes said: "The recording studio is state of the art but so were the dancers, drummers and dragon! Following hard on the heels of the recent Staveley Schools' Music Festival at the Winding Wheel, this was another triumphant celebration of the artistic talent of Staveley children. It was a privilege to be there."
