CAMPAIGN AGAINST UNFAIR BANK CHARGES DESERVES DAY IN COURT - HOLMES12.00.00am UTC (GMT +0000) Tue 15th Jan 2008 Commenting at the start of the court case between the Office of Fair Trading (OFT) and several high street banks about bank charges, Liberal Democrat Member of Parliament for Chesterfield Paul Holmes said "Many Chesterfield residents have been affected by punitive bank charges and could benefit enormously from this court case. Banks have been making record profits in recent years and should not be milking their customers for even more money in this way. Notes to Editors 1.) The case is being heard at the International Dispute Resolution Centre that only can only accommodate eleven people in the viewing gallery. 3.) Paul Holmes MP today tabled an EDM on this issue.
