Welcoming the Woolpack

Your local Councillors Alison Galloway, Helen Walsh and Ian Openshaw joined Paul Holmes MP to open the Woolpack, a real-life bar for residents inside the Brimington Care Centre. A full bar is available, along with bar snacks for those who get peckish. The bar opens onto a beer garden so the residents can sit out on sunny days. Paul Holmes MP said 'this is a fantastic facility, I wouldn't mind coming to live here myself! I can imagine some of the residents might want to spend all day in the bar now they have the opportunity.'

Residents gave the new bar a thumbs up and a rousing chorus of 'Knees up Mother Brown' was continued until bedtime.
