Can You Trust Anything Labour Say?

It's no secret that Labour have historically had a flexible relationship with the truth and locally they seem to be up to their old tricks again.
Their local paper implies that only 11 Lib Dems are standing in the Chesterfield Borough Council elections, leaving "swathes of Chesterfield without representation".
The truth is that 37 Lib Dems are standing, more than enough to retake the Council and leaving us very clearly as the only serious challengers to another 4 years of wasteful spending by the current Labour-run Council.
