Thousands sign petition against downgrading of Queens Park Leisure Centre

Julia Cambridge has been out supporting the Save Our Leisure Centre campaign group headed by Alan Maris as they handed over their residents petition at the Town Hall. Alan Maris handed in a petition containing over 3,200 local signatures. The group still need as many people as possible to still sign and support the petition and ask anyone interested in doing so to click and sign!

Commenting on the residents concerns, Julia said, 'This petition sends a clear message to the Labour run Chesterfield Borough Council. Many local people do not support your plans to re locate and downsize the sports centre onto open land and to reportedly 'sell off' the old site for development.'
